Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

I haven't had a chance to do any towing yet with the GDE tune, but I'm looking forward to seeing how she performs with the tune. 200,000 miles is my target goal as well. Thankfully replacement engines are fairly affordable.

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

I had the W58 completed last week. This week I installed the GDE EPA Compliant Tune. I'm still loving my 2015 EcoDiesel. It just turned 93,000 miles.

Turbo water coolant feed tube failure

As far as I know, they are still using a rubber hose. Several people are replacing the rubber hose with a high temperature silicone hose like the one the in this link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C9L9LP9/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_5?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=1 How many miles are on your...

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

I wouldn't get too discouraged. The EcoDiesel has some known problems, but there are many happy EcoDiesel owners. We had a 2006 Cummins for 10 years and loved it, but it was only useful for towing or highway travel. The 1500 EcoDiesel is more conducive as a daily driver and for light duty...

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

I don't remember the mileage when I had the AEM installed. It was done in May of 2019. For sure, I'm good until 120,000 miles. I'm at 93,000 at the moment.

I'm hoping that mine fails under the AEM warranty. That would save me a lot of money if it did fail.

Turbo water coolant feed tube failure

I'm really hoping that my turbo coolant hose fails while I'm under the AEM warranty. Currently, I've got 93,000 miles on the truck.

Can you run B100 in deleted Ecodiesel

I would run B50 for 5,000 miles and take an oil sample. If the oil sample comes back good, then I would run B50 for 10,000 miles and pull another oil sample. If that comes back good, then I would repeat the 5,000 mile oil samples with B75 and B100.

Who has a 2020 eco? Any issues yet?

I have a 2015 and 2020 Ram EcoDiesel. Due to COVID-19, I was working from home and didn't drive either truck for a while. I only have 2,813 miles on my 2020. So far, I love both trucks and haven't had any major issues with either one.

Sadly, this is true. I'll be getting the W58 update sometime in the next two weeks, then I'll install the GDE EPA Compliant Tune which will also have the W58 software added to the tune.

    Towing Temps

From my understanding, the truck will derate itself if the coolant or oil temp reaches a certain temp. You mentioned that the oil temp will derate around 270*F. Do you know at what temperature the coolant will cause a derate?

StevenB, I see that you lost your engine and no longer own the truck. Maybe you'll still receive a notification and apply to this thread.

    Another ED hits 400,000 miles

Congratulations, Vern! 400,000 miles is a huge milestone! I'm hoping that you or James will hit 500,000 miles!

    AFe power oil pan

I was surprised that AFE took the time to research, develop, and manufacture the oil pan. You wouldn't think there would be a market for an engine pan, but somehow AFE came to the conclusion that it would be a good product to offer. I literally don't know anyone who has purchased the pan...

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

I contemplated selling/trading my 2015 when the AEM warranty runs out, but overall, I've been pretty happy with my 2015. Granted, I only have 92,000 miles on the engine. The quality control seems to be hit and miss on the engines. Some people can go 200,000 miles with minimal problems and...

Yes, sir! I still don't have it installed. Thank you, sir. I don't have much knowledge to bring to the table. I hope to share my experiences, though. I'll be hauling my great grandpa's grain wagon from Kansas to New Mexico later this week. It will be about a 900 mile trip.

I do a fair amount of towing, including taking our travel trailer over some of the steepest mountain passes in the nation. The 2015 has 90,000 miles on the truck. Besides a clogged DEF injector, I haven't had any major problems. The first EGR cooler was replaced under my extended warranty and...
