Understandable. Reliability is important. I'm at a higher elevation, so we're in the single digits a lot of mornings, but we rarely see temps below -5*F. Our daytime temps get above freezing on most days.

What was your reason for getting rid of the factory air suspension? I ordered the 2020 with the factory air suspension. The 2015 didn't have the factor air suspension, so I installed Timber Grove Air Spring Assist Mounts.

It's funny you say that. It seems like the people who really work their trucks have fewer problems. That may not be true, but it sure seems that way.

Platinum is a synthetic urea (a more purified formula). People who have switched over to Platinum have stopped getting deposits. I only have real-world data to share. But don't take my word, there are others who have the same results: "For those who think Peak BlueDEF Platinum is just a...

The 2015 has 101,000 miles. I'm pretty hard on the truck, so I'm not disappointed. We've had four issues with the 2015. 1) Clogged MAP sensor (31,000 miles) - replaced under warranty 2) EGR cooler leaking (42,000 miles) - replaced under warranty 3) Clogged DEF injector (65,000 miles) -...

I want to know if it was Ram who made the decision or Cummins who made the decision. Somebody decided to switch to the CP4. I'm guessing it was probably Ram in effort to save a few bucks.

It would be interesting to know if it was Ram or Cummins who made the decision to go with the CP4 in the 2019 - 2020 trucks.

As we travel from coast to coast, we run Love's Fuel 99% of the time. Love's lists their biodiesel percentages on their website for each station. Depending on the state and station, Love's carries B5, B10, B15, and B20. I have an auxiliary in-bed fuel tank, so it makes it easy to skip the...

Engine Failure - 2016 Ecodiesel - 74,000 miles - out of warranty by 6 months!

There's only 5,368 miles on this sample, but the oil spent 8 months in the engine. Lots of cold starts, short commutes, biodiesel in every tank, and towing. Severe service for sure, but the T6 did its job. I sent my OA to a lab tech to get his input. He said fleet managers typically draw a...

I agree that long term ownership could be costly. I've been fortunate so far. My truck hasn't thrown a code in over three years. Speaking of OAs, I just got my analysis report yesterday. There's only 5,368 miles on the engine oil, but the oil spent 8 months in the engine. That's a lot of...
