To delete is to remove the EGR. System DEF is no longer needed and a new tune done, no more turbo lag, and more HP.
doesn’t your truck occasionally say “regenerate” in the display ? etc… that’s the engine burning off soot in the EGR system, the soot is what kills these engines here in the...
Delete and tune while you still can it’s too late for Amy, but I’m at 226k miles and going strong. Always use T6, always. No def or crazy regen anymore either, plus 60 more hp.
I paid $2200 in 2020 for the tone wheel replacement on my 2016 Eco, last year I received reimbursement as my VIN wasnt initially included in the recall.
Just my experience.
Stellantis is in decline, I doubt there will be customer support for any of us with Eco Diesels. I did a delete, and I wish I had done it years ago, more power, no def, no regen nonsense or soot issues, cooler temps, no lag, just win win.
For that kind of money just do a delete, I wish I had deleted mine on day one, no def, more power, no lag, cooler temps, no regen nonsense. I’ve got 217k on mine and going strong.
I had mine deleted and tuned about 2 years ago, best thing I ever did, more power, no def, runs cooler, no soot or regen nonsense. Wish I had done it day one. I bought it new in 2016, and it has 215k on it now.
I’ve been reading about these failures for years now, and how FCA uses the 10k mark as an excuse. And then I get into my 2016 with 204k on it and wonder if this is my last trip.
Perhaps… but I would have expected her to explain that the CP4 is still being replaced with the same part for now. But you’re right I don’t expect much of anything from my dealership I do nt have a sharp service manager , they have turned their backs on the eco world.
