How many miles on your ecodiesel and have you had any problems?

There are options out there that will wake up the truck. Tunes from PPEI, SFT, GDE, etc will do the trick. There is also the Pedal Commander, which eliminates a lot of the lag you experience. Install these at your own risk tho as a dealership may deny you warranty work because of them. Kind of...

Loss of acceleration and fuel mileage and over all pulling power

Banks derringer won’t solve AEM woes. K&N and Ram air boxes are worthless for turbo charged vehicles. The computer does have to re learn about your driving habits but this is done quickly is minor and was being used as a lame excuse to get you to go away because he had no solution for you...

    GED tune failures??

The bearing failure is the blown motor problem Yes tuned trucks blow motors too. There have been thousands of blown ecodiesels. FCA at one point in time was replacing over 200 motors per month. By most people's best estimate the failure rate is 5-8%. This is unheard of in the industry. I'll...

    GED tune failures??

No not beating failure. Just all the others posting blown motor lol. I mean let’s get down to it... what are all these “blown” motors. And once again... has anyone “blown” a Motor with this tune or any other tunes?? With the egr being the death of these motors let’s say any tune that turns it...

How to engage “ESC & TCS Off" with SFT tune

Here's another great feature of the SFT ECM tune not available in the other tunes. How to engage “TCS Off” or “ESC & TCS Off" with a Stock tune or the SFT tune: STOCK TUNE: 2WD, 4WD AUTO & 4WD LOCK ------ “TCS Off” - Press “Traction Control” switch whenever needed...

Unhappy with Performance after Emissions Recall Update

Thanks Stevei for the reply . . . much appreciated! I do have some questions: 1. When you installed the Sofa King Tuned system, is there a way to regain the FCA update for future swap-out? 2. How difficult is it to swap between the SFT and FCA tunes? 3. Do you need to re-tune both the...

Catch Can...CFT no codes really? Shawn Mopecodiesel talks of Vacuum and why codes and how to remedy (tap and drill new line to boost air)

The stock ECU min/max crankcase pressure is 10 Hpa (0.15 psi). Most engine tunes will make these values "0". Which allows you to run any catch can 😎

New user - what to do after AEM?

You get a flash with Bench and OBD2, however ask yourself when's the last time you read someone got denied for having a flash count? I We have not witnessed this. With SFT tunes we are tuning YOUR ECU. Bench flash vs OBD2 flash...final result is BOTH are 100% detectable to the dealership. That...

Unhappy with Performance after Emissions Recall Update

Sorry to hear that. Hope they are minor and fixable. Here's what I posted elsewhere after testing my SFT tunes: I'm happy to report they are performing as advertised and I am more than satisfied. One nice surprise was the ECM tune automatically starts a cold engine in high idle and gradually...

    SFT Tuning Vs. Box Tunes.

Here's what I posted on another forum: Thanks to Califunny causing me to get out of my GDE tune I discovered SFT. I just recently installed their stage 1 ECM and TCM tunes. I'm happy to report they are performing as advertised and I am more than satisfied. One nice surprise was the ECM tune...

How many miles on your ecodiesel and have you had any problems?

Thanks, I was in love with the way that my truck shift before the AME update. But I HATE the way that the truck shifts after the AME update.

How many miles on your ecodiesel and have you had any problems?

You don't have to get both. I pull a 17' deep-V boat during the summer and a 5,000 pound trailer in the fall, so I elected to get the trans tune as well. The settlement money i am expecting will cover both (~$1,850) and for me it was a no-brainer. Since installing the tunes, my truck VERY...

Unhappy with Performance after Emissions Recall Update

Right now, $720 shipped to your door. We had a client who was 100% stock, spoke with us for SEVERAL weeks trying to improve his MPG. MAP cleaned, rear brakes checked, tire PSI, fuel additives, etc etc....only getting 17 MPG, that's HORRIBLE and something is clearly wrong. Engine temps were very...

EcoDiesel OBD II Flashing now available.

This is bad for a diesel. Excess heat dissolves the main barrings, plus they're had a few engine fires. Be careful. As for our tunes, the Silver content has been less and less each oil analysis to show the tunes are removing the otherwise wear and tear. See website for recent Oil analysis.

    Extreme Hesitation Before Warm Up

I think then, that the new software just makes it very slow until the truck gets hot. I would look at one of the two major engine tunes. They both eliminate turbo lag along with many other benefits.

    Sofa King Tuned

Great information! So once someone purchases the tune, they will have access to reinstall the factory if needed? Basically, the software is always available for stock, stage 1 and stage 2? On the offroad tune, do you need to alter the exhaust system or run through the current exhaust...
