Run engine cleaner through it and clean out your oil pan and pickup. You’ll be fine. People nowadays forget to do that stuff. I’ve got 207k and running better than ever.
After using a good internal engine cleaner, drop the oil pan, clean the oil pick up thoroughly, and then do it again. Lots of oil gunk buildup. I have 203,000 and still going strong.
No video, but I will say this. It’s very messy, so take your time, prep the area. Be careful to not damage anything and be patient. There’s a lot of nasty in that pan to be cleaned out, and the screen will be completely clogged. WD-40 works great to soak it.
Might consider doing what I did. If the oil pickup tube is sludged and there is muck at the bottom of the oil pan, it could cause pressure issues, in my humble opinion. So far, my truck has had no issues with pressure since I did a thorough cleaning of mentioned parts. Don’t want to starve the pump.
Ran two “Motor Medic” diesel flushes with two back to back oil changes. No glitter found, just black sludge. Truck had sat for 7 months after I pulled the trans and transfer case to fix the damn $20 tone wheel. Being that I had a torn MCL and a jacked up shoulder, it sat a while. Ended up having...
So, I am having truck shutoff issues due to zero oil pressure. Here’s what I know:
Oil pressure is not from a sensor, it’s an algorithm.
I hooked up an external gauge and it reads zero while the dash says 40. Cheap Amazon buy, not sure it’s any good.
I changed the oil after it having been a...
Look, man. This forum isn’t for gashing the Ecodiesel. Most of us have great, fully functional trucks. Mine is a 2015 with a 197k and zero problems until I had to replace the reluctor wheel. Please be more positive about your wants and needs from this site or see yourself out. Thanks.
Have any of you made an attempt at fixing it yourself? I’m debating it. First major issue I have had on my 2015, and it has 196,000 and some change on it. Been a great truck.
I have a screen shot from OBD. I’m not getting a feedback signal from “Turbo B” position sensor. I can’t get any support from Green Diesel Engineering anymore because the EPA won’t let them speak with me. Any feedback from the forum?
That sucks, man. Sorry that happened to you. If you do a full court press on corporate, fill out all the forms the way they want, and find a customer friendly dealership, you’ll probably get another engine without a lot of heartache. Make sure to get an attorney consult, though.
