Sounds like tone ring shit the bed based off crank shaft sensor code but with all the other ones I wouldn’t know where to begin 😂

How many miles on your ecodiesel and have you had any problems?

2015 with 96000, EGR cooler replaced, just had a no start issue needed a new tone ring on the crankshaft and a new crank sensor. Now waiting on the latest EGR cooler update. Performance and fuel economy issues after software update.

    Trouble free until today.

Yep I would not return to that Place, I can only imagine the hack repairs that are commonly performed. Just another short coming of VM, Most modern day power plants have the technology/programing to jump from Crank to Cam sensor. in case of failure. That tone/reluctor ring can fail at any...

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

Well, $1,331.70 later I have an operational Truck again. Ouch. First actual breakdown, only other problems i've ever had were air suspension winter related. Dealer confirmed tone ring magnetic pieces missing and crank position sensor code. Both were replaced along with one time use hardware and...

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

That's just labor cost, but half price of dealer. There would be constraints to getting online parts timely enough it'd total about 800-1k. I almost went this route and tried the aftermarket sensor available etc but there's a perk to having it done at the dealership and it all being warrantied...

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

$300.00 would be a steal for a job this big. Make sure the guy is compentent and knows what he's getting into. Be sure to change out both the reluctor/tone ring & the crank position sensor. Good luck!

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

They will pay for the sensor but not the tone ring. Just had it done this week $1,100.00 warranty paid for sensor install only. 119,000 miles on my 2016

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

I didn't know that they would cover the tone ring and crank sensor after the 100,000 mile warranty. Mine has been deleted so I have never let them put a plug into the engine.

It just happened to me - 2016 Eco Diesel burst into flames

Lol, I've never seen any other vehicle go through 4 engines. But for the ecod it's a normal thing. I've seen the countless lies fca does, for example 2nd owner replaces engine to finally find out his was a lemon buyback and it's on its 3rd engine now (1st for him) I've seen countless threads...

    Trade in values

Was curious how much the aem has effected the trade in values. All the fires and the tone wheel crank sensor issues are unnerving
