    I've still got some Canada folks I need to sent the stickers out to. I'll get there sometime this week I hope. I have to get the stamps from the PO and it's hard to get there for me between the open/close times.

    Just as JDN said, sometimes you're just unlucky. Since it's failed this early, its just bad parts. I would say you should be good to go down the road. Stay here and read up on the motors. Welcome to the site!

    Some people actually "gut" the DPF to give that impression. I'm not sure if you can buy a look a like DPF though..I've never come across one.

    Welcome! Yes, any emissions removal would require the proper tuning. A few companies out there do it. One being PPEI.com and GDE (Green Diesel Engineering). What are your driving habits? If you drive in the city a lot and never get up to highway speeds the truck doesn't have a chance to burn...

    Not heard of any at all. Even guys with "hot" tuning haven't reported any problems.
