I still think were in our infancy with all this electronic gizmo stuff, I'm a stick and rudder guy myself it takes some getting use to....

Update, First service was completed and the problem has been diagnosed as a bad glow plug #4 to be exact. It's on order The dealership said I would be fine until the new part arrives being I keep the truck in a semi warm garage. I wish the same could be said for outside!

"Engine preheat" "Glow Plug" owners manual says squat. It suddenly remained lit and blinks. Service engine light came on. Checked battery connections all tight. Battery strength appears fine according to gauge, I'll hook up my volt meter later in the morning for confirmation. 12/8 I have an...

Hi guy's me again, I've developed a new issue. Started engine and my engine warmer light remained on and blinks continuously service engine light came on. I already have an appointment for Thursday for recall but will this issue damage anything?

Oil cooler replaced system flushed. Cautiously took on trip 2239 miles going from W.I. to Jersey shore via 80 & 76. Average speed 69 mph coolant fluid remained purple. Running temps were well within nominal ranges, oil pressure was fine as well. Average fuel economy was 27.6 mpg! Dealership...

I kid you not I have one, got it through the dealership.

purchased used. Murphy's Law and me go way back! The wife saw this truck and instantly fell in love with it. I still have the factory warranty plus I purchased the extended plan 5 yr or 75K miles.

I'm hoping that's it, fingers crossed. The dealership was very helpful thus far.

I would assume having a warranty the dealership would be reluctant but if I stay on them all that would be covered right.

Yea used. 2015 1/2 Limited all dressed out. They declared that it had a brand new engine. If it had been residual oil wouldn't it have been noticed and addressed prior to clearing it for sale?

Purchased truck 6 days ago, after reading this forum I checked my coolant this morning and it's black with reddish purple hue. (not just a sheen, but black) Called dealer who told me to return truck which I did. While talking with the service dept and salesman and general manager I spoke of...

2015 1/2 Brand new engine with less than 1000 miles on it. 24K on the truck body.

After reading about oil in the coolant I decided to go and check mine. Keep in mind my truck was bought 6 days ago, well I popped the hood and lo and behold it's black! I immediately had a spike in the blood pressure. I wobbled inside called the dealer and they told me to bring it in. I have...

I know this is by now dated but for a few of us newer readers I'd thought I toss it out there.

Excellent idea, I'm surprised that I didn't think of that. Starting to think I'm loosing my marbles.

November 19th I'm heading from the North East portion of W.I. with family on our first road trip back to visit family in Jersey. Engine is new less than 1k miles, I suppose since I'm new to the dark side having been a Ford gas truck owner for 33 years do you have any advice. I'm a disabled...

Purchased 2015 1/2 1500 Limited w/ 26k miles. New Engine installed summer of 16, full warranty with additional 5 yrs 75k plan. sweet deal.

I've always have been a Ford gas engine guy. I just couldn't deal with the 5.4 mileage anymore and the fact the truck was 9 years young. I'm a cherry to Ram and more of a cherry to diesels. Are there any books for dummy's that will help guide and educate me? or should I just adhere to the...

Ditto just down sized from my Ford as well. So far so good, the dealership when they took my trade said welcome to the dark side.
