Absolutely not. Most owners experiencing this common issue are recieving new engines and all new components. Anything touched by coolant should be replaced with new. You don't have to believe me, just search this and the other forum for this common issue.

Honestly, anyone needing the truck for towing would be best off with the 3/4 ton anyway. These EcoDiesels were built for fuel economy plain and simple. Too many people using them like 3/4 ton trucks pulling '30 rv's.

There is a 3way coolant valve under the airbox that commonly goes bad.

I agree. Sounds like engine failure totally unrelated to the fuel stop. I'm not a mechanic, but why would the motor seize from contaminated fuel? Wouldn't it just stop running without a total engine seize?
