I traded my ecodiesel for a 2018 hemi but it had 49,000 trouble free miles, towing 8,000 lbs, 1/3 of the miles. The coolant kept leaking and the dealer told me it was normal,so i went to another dealer and traded for the hemi. I'm anxious to see the 2019 ecodiesel and may trade again.
My 2015 with 47,500 miles continued to lose coolant, about a half gallon per moth,no overheating,no sign of coolant loss. The dealer finally told me no need to bring it back, all the eco-diesels lose fluid . I drove to another deal er and traded for a 2018 hemi. I really liked the ecodiesel,if the...
Same here. when I top it off cold to the top mark.it leaks down to the bottom mark cold but it don't go any lower and no overheating.I passed the pressure test also. That coolant has to be going somewhere?
I think I'm on thin ice. lol.I would like to wait for a 2019 ecodiesel.I hear 260 Hp,442 lbft torque. With a 3:92 should handle my 8K loads some better. The dealer pressure tested my cooling system and said no leaks . Diesel is now 50 cents agallon more than regular so I'm not saving much on...
I'm glad they backed it for you, some have not been so lucky. I Have really enjoyed this truck but I'm towing 8 K two or three times weekly.I may start looking for a a stouter truck. I wish I had a 3:92 rear. How long did yours leak before it suddenly lost coolant? I'm at 47K now.
My 2015 ecodiesel is losing about a Qt of coolant in a month, can't find the leak, dealer pressure tested, flushed and refilled, sure enough leaked down a abt. QT..I turned the heater on today and smelled antifreeze for about five minutes, then it cleared up.Towed 3 big QTR horses in a big steel...
I'm afraid I have some sort of leaking coolant problem.Smelled coolant after towing a three horse metal trailer with three 1k plus horses.About 8k. I had no over heating. Just the smell and about a quart low on coolant. I added a QT. of coolant and the level has barely moved in about a month...
I also read the engineering report,it said out of 104,000 sold there have been 949 engine failures requiring new engines,I agree that is too many but its not most.I would be madder than you are if it happened to me.My state has lemon law and they get three chances to fix the problem or buy back...
46,000 mi. no issues, tow a 3 horse steel trailer 5k.plus three big Qtr horses over 1,000 each.Average over all 17mpg towing,24 mixed once got 32mpg. on trip, all expressway.70 mph. its a 2015 I have never received a recall notice or tsb for computer flash? I changed fuel filter at 30K. Air filter...
I read a report from an FCA engineer, out of 105,000 3.0 sold in rams and jeeps they have had 900 engine failures, which I consider too high but its less than 1% and they claim there is no design problem with the 3.0.
