there is some insulation and a metal cover in front of the cp4 HP pump on our engines. has anyone removed there cover to reduce heat or should we just leave it in place.

I would remove thermostat, flush with water, than install new OEM thermostat. DON'T use old thermostat. add high quality antifreeze. than open a beer and think of all the money you saved.

It's really a shame when we spent 50 grand on a truck and the dealer and manufacture looks for any excuse to get out of warranty. They know we don't have the resources to fight back in many cases. It's not right!

I happened to notice that one of the wires on top of the engine was rubbing against the stainless steel fuel line. It has rubbed through almost all of the insulation. I wrapped it with tape and will double insulate ASAP! it's on the air cleaner side parallel with the fuel line. it May be a...
