my truck is almost ready today. there are still flushing the system after replacing the radiator, oil cooler, coolant reservoir, thermostat, and changing the oil and filter.they are flushing the system using dawn detergent and water. They have used half a bottle or about 8 oz of dawn. markings...

Yesterday, Thursday, they have all parts in finally. Took 7 days. With Labor day coming they won't start it til Tuesday.

Wainow very little about this but the oil cooler is a small aluminum box on the left side of the engine, driver side, that has both oil and coolant lines going through it to cool the oil as the engine runs. I have no idea if letting the engine Warm down would affect the cooler life but doubt it.

They still don't have the oil cooler yet.

Besides the oil in my radiator issue that I've discussed on this site, I'm very disappointed in the Ram Ecodiesel horn system. First of all it is hard to activate, you have to push very hard to make it blow. The pressure to push has to be enough to indent the horn covering about a quarter inch...

Where does it say the manufacturing date on the truck? Truck is at the dealer and won't get there til Wednesday. Or does it say on any paperwork?

Ram update. Found oil in the coolant reservoir several days ago 13,700 miles and took it to the dealer, Killebrew. He has an oil cooler ordered and it may take couple days to get here. That's what they suspect is leaking. The oil coolers are not available through dodge warehouses as they are...
