my truck is almost ready today. there are still flushing the system after replacing the radiator, oil cooler, coolant reservoir, thermostat, and changing the oil and filter.they are flushing the system using dawn detergent and water. They have used half a bottle or about 8 oz of dawn. markings...
Wainow very little about this but the oil cooler is a small aluminum box on the left side of the engine, driver side, that has both oil and coolant lines going through it to cool the oil as the engine runs. I have no idea if letting the engine Warm down would affect the cooler life but doubt it.
