I would suspect that your injectors are plugged. My neighbors 20' Cummins just had the cp4 grenade. All kinds of aluminum. plugged the injectors up. Did they pull a fuel line and run the lift pump? its easy to verify if the lift pump is bad. Or pull the fuel filter housing and turn key on. Fuel...
Glad they got parts ordered for you. This was the exact process I had to go through, so they defiantly weren't jerking you around. It says right in my receipt verify concern, must receive approval from regional stenatis manager before parts will be ordered. Did they order you new injectors...
No Problem. if yours is inoperable I believe the procedure calls for injectors, fuel rail, fuel lines to and from the tank (at least this is the procedure for the eco diesels in the Jeeps that do have a recall fix and parts that have been released). may take even longer to get all those parts...
No, I was not charged. My truck still ran fine. However, I found a bunch of aluminum shavings in the fuel filter housing. The dealer verified what I found and got approval to change the pump. It did take some time for it to show up after being ordered. Probably 3-4 weeks. Then two days for...
you are correct. I just got my truck back this week after the dealer replaced the CP4. They stated its a new old style CP4 and will not satisfy the recall. I will need to have it replaced when parts ever do become available.
I doubt it was Rust. Just changed my fuel filter on my 17' yesterday and all sorts of aluminum shavings in the bottom from the CP4. Quick verification with a clean magnet proves this when none of it is picked up by the magnet. Wonder if your dealer did that. Anyone been able to get the new pump...
I just encountered the same issue. I just had the timing chain cover gasket replaced under warranty and figured that was the issue again. Dealer called me last night and said the oil temp sensor is leaking and needs to be replaced. only cost 150 bucks, but wish I seen your post. What a mess it...
I was at the dealer yesterday for an oil leak (engine oil temp sensor leaking) and there is an open recall for this issue that just came out in early June. But, of course no parts available like usual for this lemon engine.

Do you know of the recall #? Only recall I show for mine is the HPFP. Tone wheel would be nice to have completed given the issues I've seen on here if an issue comes up.
Hey Guys,
anyone had oil leak issues with there eco diesel engine? I noticed a small leak when I changed my serpentine belt a few months ago coming form the timing chain cover on the passenger side of my 17' eco. Brought it to the dealer about 6 weeks ago. They RTV'ed it and put it back...
I feel your pain. I had a similar experience with the EGR cooler recall a few years ago on my 17'. Luckily my dealer provided a loaner the whole time. so, no out of pocket expenses. I retained a lemon law attorney, but just missed the 30 day deadline. To bad our trucks are to old now for that to...
Anyone else had recent experience with this issue? Would hope the dealers have a service bulletin on how to repair by now with how many have had this issue between the Rams and Jeeps.
I just went through the same ordeal. FCA does not have to give you anything as they first tried with me when the dealer pressure tested my cooling system and told me it needed an EGR. they do not have to give you a "like" vehicle, or any vehicle for that matter. I fought for over a week until...
I tried...... the extended max care warranty I purchased means nothing when the issue is related to a recall issue. This is what I was told when FCA refused to extend the 5 day loaner car that I was put in, and I was then transferred to max care and enlightened on the rental agreement. This has...
I’ve been battling with FCA customer support and the dealer for about a week. Dealer wanted to give me a sub compact for a loaner (need a truck for work). Getting the run around to just get a rental truck of some sort from FCA. What did they stick you in? I was told the same as others on here...
