55 years old and my first diesel. 2023 Ram EcoDiesel, now has 9900 miles on it.
Have 2 boys who are both diesel power technicians, so I thought, why not. I just don't wanna call them with every single question that pops in my head. They both work a ton of hours.
So, they've already done the first oil, oil filter, air filter and fuel filter change. I have a heated garage, and the block heater cord is accessible if needed.
My first question is regarding fuel additives, which one is best? And I park my truck at work for 13 hours, and it's getting cold. Nowhere to plug it in either, so which additive, if any should I use to avoid gelling? Does one do both?
I've tried reading about them, but that's just not helping, there are just too many. So I'm asking people who know more than I know.
Thanks in advance, and I look forward to learning.
