Was released today, but is the same price as the OEM (Factory) filter.. with no price difference I'm not sure you can justify going aftermarket. Thoughts?

Depends I guess. Is it supposedly a better oil filter? At any rate, I miss my $6 AC Delco filters on my GMs...

Too many things going on with the EcoDiesel at this time. Until the smoke settles and still under warranty, I go to dealer for oil change and filter. Non important things, I do myself or go to Canadian Tire or someone like that. Also, while on warranty, I am doing Oil analyses just before each oil change. Did my first one at 20,500 KM. Didn't trust dealer, so had the Oil analysts (RamaTek, Calgary) take an oil sample using the dip stick pump extraction. I watch him do it and saw his lab. Price is 20.00. I'm expecting my first report tomorrow. I will post the results.
