My truck did not come with factory brake controller can i add the factory controller to my truck or would it be better to go after market?

Depends on how much money you want to spend....if your truck has the harness and everything you can pull the dash apart and install it yourself but you'll have to have the dealer flash the ecm to think it has it...normally an extra $100 for the flash

Yes you can buy a plug and play unit from etrailer.com. It took all of five minutes to install.
I have the prodigy as well and its worked perfectly.
