I currently have a 2017 Dodge ram EcoDiesel with a blower motor and I am too having the same problem there's no time frame of when I'm going to get the motor back to put in my truck spoke with a represented from FCA and they say there's 736 on back order they've only shipped 136 so it looks like my truck is going to be up there for 6 months up to a year

2017 Eco with 50000. So I installed the winter kit block heater. I’m in St Louis where winters not as severe. Could these trucks benefit having these plugged in fall to spring? As far as I know every ecodiedel has the heater installed in block but does not have the cord to provide current. Mine did and I purchased a plug on cord and had service tech plug it on during a wheel rotation. I realize these are in the anti freeze portion of engine block and not the oil. Just a thought. Those who are waiting for replacement engines did you use this heater option on your trucks thruout winter?

No. All stock. Up to this point I have had no trouble. I did change the cheap filler neck plastic plug with an aluminum prong seal cap. Got on Amazon. $20. Found the door gasket allows water in thru fuel door and some water makes it way into fuel. Found this out by stuffing the fuel filler area with paper towels. After a rain the paper towels were soaked. Watched way to many iTunes videos about this. I understand newer models gotten rid of this cheep and poorly designed part.
