My 2014 ecodiesel is now at dealership after red lightening bolt came on and truck bogged down on acceleration in traffic. I did get to work, but it then hesitated to start, but would. Had it towed to a shop and was told it was a crankshaft issue- they recommended taking to dealership. Just got call back- stating crank sensor is bad and also something about tone wheel.
He says it'll cost $1300 plus.
Is this legit?
I have a letter from FCA about an extended warranty on crankshaft tone wheel (for 8 years- which ends 12/2022, since truck is a 2014, right?)
Does this extension cover tmy trucks issue?
Thanks-
