Truck Year
2015
2015 Ram Eco-Diesel, 126,000 miles, New Years Day went out to the truck to continue our journey, pressed the start button, no response from the starter, nothing not even a click. Tried jumping it no response checked battery voltage 12.19, put charger on it for 24hrs. still no response, had it towed to dealer, 7 days later, got a call that they had it in the shop and battery was junk??? and they were going to do further testing. I got a call the next day said it was done, 400.00 dollar battery and almost 200.00 dollars labor it was ready to go. Picked it up, drove back to campground (220 miles). It sat 1 day, the following day wanted to go to town no response from the starter. Tried jumping it, nothing, checked battery voltage 12.50 volts, 14 volts while hooked up to jump vehicle. To access starter took left front tire and inner fender off, checked solenoid terminal no voltage while start button being pressed, accidently brushed wire to solenoid INSTANT START UP. Bad connection, terminal was a little loose, sprayed with contact cleaner and squeezed connector to tighten and all is good. This is just a heads up if you all have the same issue. No check engine codes by the way
