Mpg loss

Can anyone come up with reason for 7 to 10 mile per loss after emission update could something have gone wrong when they put software in

Others are reporting less of a loss, but nothing has been positive. On mine they flashed the ECM and the TCM.

I did not notice any loss. On the way home from the AEM the truck display indicated 27.2 mpg. That was only a 15 mile trip. A few days later I did an out and back trip that was about 45 miles total and the truck displayed 26.2 mpg.

Same. I used to average 22-25mpg, now I get 16-17mpg. This is awful... might as well be driving a hemi in limp-mode

It seems like almost every engine responds differently to the AEM flash.

I can report the same problem.
Drove to Florida with a motorcycle on a trail was getting 28mpg.
Coming back to Oklahoma was getting 30.5 w/o trailer. Then just south of Nathitoches, LA the check engine light came on. Stopped at the Dodge dealer there: the oil fill cap wasn't on right. They also fixed a recall. Last 8 mpg. Went to my local. They said the fuel filter needed replaced.
A year later and I'm still getting 22mpg.

A lot of times it is just a mucked up MAP sensor. Give it a clean and you might be surprised. Check your air filter too.

I am pretty happy with this 3.6L engine. It won't snap my neck like my eco would but it runs out nice. I miss that turbo.

A lot of times it is just a mucked up MAP sensor. Give it a clean and you might be surprised. Check your air filter too.

I got the map s cleaned, the injectors cleaned..... by the dealer when it lost boost one day. No change in mpg

would you mind pulling it and looking at it? Dealerships, you know what I mean? They write whatever they want sometimes. Just look at the MAP sensor and hold the air filter up to the light.

I clean map sensor at least once a year new air filter

Mines a 2016 non 4x4 with 31,000 miles, was flashed W/new emissions before trip I just took 2300 miles total and got 27MPG. The only thing Im seeing different is the severe lag between me attempting to accelerate and the vehicle really moving, I almost need to power brake and spool up turbo to get it moving quickly.

Checked air filter and cleaned mass air as suggested my problem is I drove it to dealer and was getting 25.7 when left and drove home about 1 hr from deal was down into 19 range

Have 2016 ram 4x4, Was getting 23mpg, After reprogram went down to 17-18, And big lag at take off, Fuel filter changed, K&N filter cleaned before reprogram !!! Sucks getting ready to call dealer get their song and dance , Any other Ideas...
