Hi All,
excited to join this forum..
I just got a new 2017 EcoDiesel Ram 1500 Limited about a month ago, this is my first eco diesel
and so far i love everything about it..
I live in Toronto, Canada and paid $66k for it after rebates.. (was $78.9k + taxes and PDI)

i traded in a 2012 Ram 1500, 5.7 hemi, which was a great truck but absolutely SUCKED for gas mileage.

im interested in doing a tune maybe GDE, not sure yet.. so far have 7000k on it and about to do my first oil change..
think its too early to do a tune?

Welcome!

As far as to early to tune, that's an opinion. I did my first diesel with 3000K miles on it. Never had an issue, this one is stock however so it all depends on what "risks" you want to take.

No doubt a tune is beneficial, but loosing that warranty (if something bad happen) would be a tough pill to swallow.

I would wait until the legal controversies are settle, If that makes NO difference and warranty is NO issue ASAP. Why are you even considering Molesting the Power plant ? Simple maintenance like foaming the EGR/Plenum at 25K Miles Service will likely yield years of great service. regardless of which direction you go IMO OAs are mandatory for Hero or Zero status.

IMO. the sooner you do the GDE tune the better off you will be. I waited way too long and now wish I did it from new.
