Some improvement for Sure, But its not enough for Me to Stay with the 3.0 Until its proven that Cento QC issues are resolved. I'm Going GM when it gets out, Very happy with My 2019 5.7 for the 120 miles I've owned it. I will revisit the 3.0 in 2-3 Years. But you never Know........

"The 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 uses dual overhead camshafts (DOHC) with four valves per cylinder and a 60-degree angle between the cylinder banks. The block is cast with compacted graphite iron, which provides strength to dampen vibrations, but weighs less than grey cast iron. A compacted graphite iron bedplate adds rigidity to the block. The EcoDiesel V-6 uses a forged steel crankshaft and connecting rods for strength and durability. The aluminum alloy pistons are cooled on the underside via oil jets. Heat-treated aluminum cylinder heads use individual bearing caps to reduce friction and minimize NVH. The chain-driven overhead camshafts employ roller-finger followers. The 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 is produced at the FCA Cento facility in Ferrara, Italy."

That last line gives me the chills. Had they but said that the new engine is produced somewhere in Ohio I would feel better. Like TC, I am happy with my 2019 3.6 E-Torque for the 800 miles I have owned it.

It reads just like the Ward’s 10 best POS engine we are using now.

I seriously see nothing different from the VM Motori engine.

TC,

I’m interested in making a move. What is the incentive to do it now? Is there an extra rebate for current owners or what?

I got 30% off on my truck. Sticker 46500 and sale price was 32500. That was without trying. Use cargurus or maybe ask TC to get you a deal.

FCA drop this $68,390.00 to $50,100.00 ,My earlier agreement was Trade $38,000.00 - the $8,400.00 for the Mileage 46K miles ,+ the $3,000.00 on the settlement. Not everyone is goona get the $50,100.00 but its should be no problem to Hit $50,7-8.... the trade was setup up about two years ago and was good - the mileage..... I waited this same truck was $54K to Me last mouth.

That was the amount of Driving I did... I had around 30K back 2 years ago, I traveled a lot back in 2015-16. So it cost Me about $3200 to drive it those 2.5 years 17-18-19

I have a 2018 Big Horn with the eco. Engine is currently being replaced as it died at 9600 miles. I am seriously considering upgrading to a Cummings but the new eco may be ok. What is my best option for getting g out without losing my shorts?

It all depends on what you paid. Ram trucks typically sell at a large discount, usually 25 to 30% off sticker. As a result, they depreciate 40% from sticker price when you drive off the lot. So if your sticker was 60k, that would mean your trade is now worth 36k towards a new truck. If you paid sticker you are crying right now.
