P1289 CEL troubleshooting

I've got a 2016 ram EcoDiesel 150,000kms. I was getting P128 and P1289 CEL but changing the thermostat got the temp back up and resolved my P128 CEL. I am still getting P1289 coming back fairly frequently after I clear it. I'd like to delete and tune this truck but I'd really like to sort out the cause of this CEL first. If anyone has experience with this code I'd love to hear it.
