Piston ring gap, info needed... Thanks

Does Anyone know the piston ring '' gap position'', not making the gap but since I am reinstalling used pistons already ringed, I.. I pulled them out of donor bloc and all rings were placed differently... Before I put them into receiving bloc how should I run the rings? Example : Ring #1 12 o'clock ring #2 6 o'clock ring #3 2 o'clock? Just guessing, but I need the real strategy... Thanks
