Ram box Central Locking Question

A few weeks back I had an issue that required me to disconnect the battery several times and reset everything while I did basic troubleshooting and electrical maintenance. Before I had done this, my Ramboxes would lock and unlock with the keyfob. Ever since the repair and battery reconnect, the truck runs and drives just fine - no strange error codes, but the Ramboxes no longer lock and unlock with the button. I recall on BMW's of old, that there was a keystroke and button procedure you could do to "re-sync" all the locks, so I'm curious if our rigs have something similar? For now, I just have to manually lock the boxes with the key, but I sure do miss the convenience.

I read somewhere that there's a flimsy plastic linkage of some sort that commonly breaks with these, however - I find the likeliness that both broke at the same time to be weak at best.

I think you're on the right path. My initial thought is that you will have to go into the computer with AlfaOBD & MXlink to "turn on" the RAM box lock option. Due to the disconnection of power, the computer "doesn't know" that option is installed on your truck.
