I took my truck in for oil change, check engine light and EGR service light was on. I was told my truck had a recall which needed to be done. The recall was the high-pressure fuel pump, which caused the EGR system to "fail" needing service, and metal to be pushed into my exhaust. Ultimately the exhaust was replaced, high pressure fuel pump and other covered parts related to the class action lawsuit. The dealership had my truck for 5 weeks, and I get it back. I had my truck for approximately 1 week and it was blowing exhaust into my cab. I returned my truck to the dealership, in which they had advised the turbo was burnt out and caused the leak, which did not make sense to me, but they replaced the turbo, hose assembly parts, and ordered air cooler parts. The turbo was replaced, air cooler parts were on back order. The dealership had my truck for 4 months this time. I got it back, had it for 3 days and then oil was burning to my cab. I have symptoms and lasting symptoms from carbon monoxide exposure, and my children were in this truck during this time. I took the truck back and was advised the turbo had gone out again, which allowed it to burn into my cab, which still did not make sense. This time they replaced the turbo again, hose assembly, and now installed the air cooler as the parts were in.
Any previous experiences, and any recommendations for lawsuit? is this even applicable for a lawsuit? Dealership, or manufacturer?
