Was looking for a fuel efficient truck to tow a small toy hauler. Landed on a 2015 Lone Star with 33,000 miles that was < $30,000. Last year I calculated an average of 17 mph hauling a 4000 lb Wolf Pup toy hauler. I was really enjoying the truck until Friday ( 26 Apr 2019) when my engine caught fire hauling the camper on our first outing of the year. Currently at the dealership getting repaired.

Just got my 2015 LoneStar 4x4 with 47000. Have not pulled but I do intend on pulling a small TT. Thought I would do an engine/ trans tune first though. I am averaging 22-23 mpg so far that’s a lot better than the F250 4X4 I traded in. By the way what’s the word on the engine fire??

Spoke with the service dept. They think the flap on throttle body froze. Not sure if the fuel line split before or after the 🔥

Welcome to the forum! Sorry about the fire, we've had a few members here with the same issue.
