Two bumps on top of rearview mirror

I must be missing more literature that comes with the truck. The one book I did get doesnt really tell me much in regards to all the specifics of the vehicle and its features. So, on top of my inside mirror are textured plastic bumps. They dont slide or depress. What are they for?

Hands free microphones for Uconnect and when you're on the phone. The auto-dimmer is built into the back of the mirror, and a humidity sensor for the climate control is a little box stuck to the glass to the right of the mirror-mount. The more I uncover the toys on this rig, the more I understand why my 89-year old Dad says it's very Star Trek.
