Is anybody using fuel additives in there Eco? Are they safe to use and do they help?

Using Additives?

I've been using the Hot Shot EDT (every day treatment) and the anti gel formula for our couple of months of winter. I had 85k miles when the high pressure fuel pump was replaced under recall without failure or codes.
Just replaced the intake at 105k and honestly build up was not too bad but I do clean the EGR pipe every 30k. I also have the Green Diesel tune, added there catch can kit for crankcase vent vapor, nothing is deleted. Each oil change I also use engine flush and oil pan and pickup screen were spotless at 105k miles. Oil pan picture was before cleaning pan, just old oil residue.
