Radiator fan won’t run unless A/C is on

Yes, definitely in high temp range. The Power Distribution Center lid should have the label of the relays and fuses to identify the fan relay. The good news is the coolant doesn't look milky which would indicate Negative for a blown head gasket to water jacket or the oil cooler heat ex-changer...

Radiator fan won’t run unless A/C is on

The Ecodiesel thermostat is fully open at 208 F. yes the oil temp will track slightly higher than water temp after a long enough drive so yes you may be in over temp territory. I follow along with a relay issue. The fan is electric and is constant variable speed type. If you have replaced the...

    Air Ride Schizophrenia?

Just as an aside the rear up first is a program thing to not raise the headlights into oncoming traffic, you may notice going down the front goes down first for the same reason.

How to replace Front air shock replacement

I'm fairly certain that you have completed this project so for future efforts here is what you should do. 1. Deflate front shock system to reservoir. This will bottom out the front system. 2. Remove the original air shocks by disconnecting the upper ball joint, sway bar, lower bolt, air line on...

    P026C again

I am surprised at your resolution. When I received this code my system diagnostic algorithm ended up with the fuel tank lift pump not supplying sufficient volume. When I experience this code again I will have to look into the O2 readings.

    P026C again

When we did get our HPFP replaced I asked the tech if it was just another BOSCH pump or if it was modified, he flatly stated Modified.

2017 air ride pump and air block replacement

I just finished reinstalling my air ride system after three years on Monroe replacement system. I would ask what scanner did you use? What nitrogen pressure did you fill to? Did you re-calibrate the level sensors? My new pump is so quite inside I don't know it is running. Good Luck.

2015 3.0L Head gasket likely needed and trade-in or otherwise not an option

I would add a recommendation to subscribe to AllData DiY for schematics, instruction for disassembly and reassembly, specifications.

Dorman a good intake Manifold for the GEN 3 EcoDiesel?

I installed one on my wife's 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee runs like new, no soot. One caveat it does not come with the motor or sensors so those must still be serviceable on your old manifold. The MAF sensor is relocated to reduce soot fouling and the electrical connector is able to reach new...

    Oil Presure

Good news/Bad news kind of answer here. This engine has an off/on switch for oil pressure, once oil pressure exceeds 12 psi the ECM/PCM says all is good. The pressure you see on your dash gauge and the Vehicle Data Center is a computer algorithm estimating what the oil pressure should be at a...

    AlfaODB and DPF Regen

I have used my Alfa and the OBDLink MX to force regen a couple of times, my 2500 RAM and my wife's Jeep Eco. I have the PC version and on the Plotted Data selection you can select the processes that you want to view. I believe around tab 11 there is a urea level although it is MM not percent of...

Service Electronic Throttle Control ( Intake butterfly valves and Motor controls)

I would like to correct a miss-statement, the Select Catalyst Reduction uses the DEF, the ammonia reduction and catalyst reaction reduces the NoX content in the exhaust. With a tune to eliminate the SCR or both the SCR and the Diesel Particulate Filter the tune should have removed the...

Service Electronic Throttle Control ( Intake butterfly valves and Motor controls)

Yes a long read. I will try to provide some insight but may not be able to answer all questions. To start I own two ecodiesels, one in my 2014 RAM and one in my wife's 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. My RAM has 180K+ miles and my wife has 200K+ miles. First the Service Electronic Throttle System...

Any up to date Ecodiesel rebuild parts and advise

Manuals non-existent. Best option is the personal use ALLDATA subscription. Assembly, disassembly and specifications for re-machining. The process referred to as line boring the block is one step in what we call Blueprinting. Too complex to explain on this space but basically ensure that the...
