26k and change on the Odo. Still listening for any funny knocks/noises. 10 months left on the lease. Fingers crossed. Upgraded the 24' camper to a 42' Fifth wheel. Will be upgrading to a 3500, possibly even a DRW!
Thanks for the reminder!! I forgot about that! On very warm days, especially if the sun is shining on the steering wheel, the cruise control will REFUSE to com on until it cools down some.
Sorry for "hijacking the thread". I now have 19,900 and it still impresses me whenever I kick down on the throttle from any speed. Towed again after the 1650 mile trip so, knocked down my mpg again but, creeping back up. Saw 21.0 on my way to work tonight. I have noticed a stumble/misfire...
I found the report again where they talked about the software fix. Notice in the final paragraphs how it talks about "...use that fix to address the issues with the older models...". There is a copy of the affidavit attached to this article as well...
EPA was suing FCA citing 8 codes or lines of code in the software and was accusing FCA of cheating to beat emissions testing (aka VW scam). They came to an agreement if FCA rewrote the software and eliminated the 8 questionable codes/lines of code, they could start selling ecoDiesels again...
I have seen multiple posts about the regen cycle. I have never seen any lights, warnings, etc. in 19,500 miles of driving. Is there a certain place to look? I am wondering if I am okay due to 10-12 miles of Interstate driving when on my way to and from work 4x per week? By the way, 19,500 mi...
Sitting here feeling a bit numb. EVERY time I think "I will buy her when the lease is up", I see more horror stories. Still wrestling with the $$ it costs for a 2500 with the Cummins, I bought the 1500 because it was easy to drive, was fairly affordable, and got great mileage. It is breaking...
I just got back from a 1,654 mi trip to WV, Pigeon Forge TN, and East Asheville/Sugar Pine NC. Lowest mileage I saw when towing my 5,700 lb 24ft travel trailer was 13.5. While on the Camp Creek WV to Pigeon Forge leg, I had the check engine light come on. I took it to a RAM dealer (Rocky Top)...
I have been checking "Cars.com" on a regular basis. For the first time since this whole emissions fiasco started, I found new and used EDs on their site. By the way, from what I saw, the prices aren't hurt at all. I was hoping it would be lower for my off lease buy out but, they are still...
I keep saying this: I am pretty certain there has GOT to be a portable version of the emissions testing equipment (saw one on Mythbusters for "gassers"). I will gladly let them put it on my tailpipes on my RAM and let them pull data to their hearts content. If the emissions pass within legal...
I noticed it on my 2015 right away. You can't jab the throttle from idle or you get brief lag then it comes on in. Was used to driving a "gasser". If you slowly step into it, you will get smooth acceleration. Try to do a quick stop-and-go (like a stop sign) and you will notice it right away...
Just turned over 16k miles. Have been on long road trips both unladen and towing. 3,400 lbs worth of trailer and atvs and 5,800 lbs worth of 24' travel camper. No issues at all so far. I will say I am second guessing myself on whether or not I am going to go through with the purchase option...
Did it have any symptoms prior to running badly? Once in a while after start up, I am sitting at a red light and if I ease my foot off the brake, the truck starts lurching like there is a misfire. Runs great when warm. Makes me nervous....
