Stock, no tuning (183,000 km), highway regen goes fast and with out any trouble usually at about 70 % soot level. I spend four month in MX with the highest speed (legal) on the HWY is 80 km/hr so regens come fast
driving around at that speed (to bad they are able to market such a junk system...
The Eco Diesel does the same but I have found when I have to do low speed stop /start it will not maintain temperature and drop out of regen mode.
My fix is if I am doing low speed I will shift to manual shifting of the transmission and try to keep the engine revs up around 2,400 rpm which...
I currently have a set of the Nokian Rotiva AT on my truck and will mostlikley go with the Plus version when these are done. The Nokians are a great tyre but I will be lucky to get 80 k/km on them ( a little disappointed with that). I am about 45 k/ km in on them now and down to 40% wear mark...
Just go to a truck stop and fill the DEF at the pump but DONOT fill past 3/4 for the winter as it will freeze in the DEF tank below -16 C and split the tank open! (Add slowly as the truck stop pump really pumps the DEF out fast!)
The truck is not made for city driving (great system) but if you...
I did all the replacements, actually have dealer that went out of its way to help out. They came up with brake line antifreeze in the airbags, did that and had the compressor vent routed into the truck box ( canopy covered) where I installed a desicant air filter to stop that moist air from...
Absolutely agree with Carlhenry, remove the system and put stock RAM suspension in the truck as I finally did and save yourself a whole lot of aggravation and money! As I said the truck rides pretty good, can be repaired anywhere in North America and it comes with a two year warrenty.
I would be very careful of the software updates as FCA seems to be attaching their EPA software updates to allot recalls. I specify every time I take the truck in that NO ECM updates will be done on the truck with out my prior knowledge and consent or they own the truck! They tried to sneak...
Marko, this is an OEM replacement available from my RAM dealer and comes with a two year warrenty. All RAM parts so can be repaired at any RAM dealer in North America.
Attached photo shows how it rides today, I still get the Air Suspension error on startup but it goes away and leaves no...
Re: Factory Standard Suspension Replacement: 2,300 km through the Canadian Rockies to Kelowna BC and back, suspension is great should have done this complete change over at the first sign of trouble from the air suspension system! It would have cost me way less money in the end. I do get a...
Just had that Recall in the mail yesterday and had the truck in the shop for the suspension replacement so got that one covered, never had a problem with the tail gate!
To bad FCA would not have recalled the air suspension system would have saved me a pile of money over the years!
Just picked up my Eco Diesel from the shop, they stripped the air suspension out of the truck and replaced it with factory standard suspension (two year warranty).
Truck sits a little lower than I thought it would by a couple of inches!
Ride is very good in the city and HWY not quite as smooth...
Mopar oil filters from the dealer what are you paying for them!
I had to buy one in AZ at the dealer in the spring and got hosed!
I told the parts guy that he must be pulling my chain but I had to pay over $ 85.00 US what a rip-off. It was the only dealer in the area open on Saturday morning...
Bruce, that's correct and they well pull a vacuum on the system prior to filling it with dried nitrogen. Where we get into trouble is if there is leak and moisture can get in the system. The vent from the compressor can also be a source for moisture in the system that's why I had extended the...
Well I thought we had handle on the Air Suspension system with break line antifreeze and the desiccant air filter on the compressor vent, work for a while now the front has collapsed completely!
Biting the bullet and replacing the complete system with standard suspension coil over shock and...
My wording was a little off, yes to replace the existing air suspension with stock upgraded spring and shock system! (I had about all I can take of that air suspension system, here in the north). Any suggestions as to what everyone is using and how are they eliminating the code issues!
Does anyone have any actual data from having had the flash done concerning actual fuel economy (HWY and City) running unloaded and loaded! I am not over sold on FC's word after all the air suspension problems in cold weather we are having in Canada that they do not believe they have!
2014 Limited 157,000 km
Only real problem has been the air suspension system that has not been designed for cold weather driving, should never be sold in Canada. Thanks to my dealer not FC, it appears we have fix that is working.
Pollution control system that functions great on the highway but...
