2016 eco diesel 4x4 ..electronic throttle control

Yep...It will require stationary ash/de-sooting, its unlikely the dealer will spend the time to correct it properly...it will just return in the future... How many miles on the truck?

Greetings from South Georgia, owner of a 2016 eco diesel Ram 4x4, who was well pleased with the whole package until recently.

Don't use the word recall, Because its NOT, and it will confuse and slow down the (Possible) covered repair.

Greetings from South Georgia, owner of a 2016 eco diesel Ram 4x4, who was well pleased with the whole package until recently.

It is covered in the Settlement, Its My understanding the AEM Settlement repair will be covered under service contract, its NOT an extension of the new vehicle warranty... The coolant will disappear in various ways , 1st it leaks onto the exhaust manifold and evaporates, 2nd it leaks internally...

Hi! Love my truck! 2015 1500 Bighorn ETC issues....

With that mileage cleaning the Diffuser- tube and map may help until the EGR/Plenum is replaced, if the cake soot is moist thats a sure sign the EGR is leaking. Look into the plenum and if it looks like this.

Engine failure. 2000 miles out of warrantee. Oil light came on, pulled over. Engine noise not good. Towed to dealership. Sitting waiting for motor.

Do you have any type of maintenance records for the 3.0? Something like this goes a Long ways with FCA.

Opinion on this line of trucks.

x2 CS Alabama, I want to add , FCA must get the QC fixed at Cento Italy...FCA has put a tight lid on the failures, this dark cloud over the VM 3.0 will not be lifted until FCA makes public disclosure to fix the shorting comings of this Diesel Power plant. Modern technogly should/make rotating...

    New to the game

OP, YOU ,Have some maintenance 1st Like trans, Intake, and take to someone that can Stationary De-soot the Exhaust, Then decide how to go about the AEM Settlement. Tuning way's out plus the $$$, but you will need to defeat certain operations in order for it to survive. This is not the Diesel...

Opinion on this line of trucks.

With the VM3.0 Some good , Some Bad and Some ugly...Right now with the quagmire of trouble its just risky, willing to take the risk has benefits and looses.

Yep... if this engine has any chance of survival it needs to be castrate form the butt to intake , how long would you survive if you had a hose from butt to mouth?. the EGR/SCR is horribly inadequate on the 3.0. And if the EPA claims that the EGR is required to meet COC, than turn around and...

It will be years before We get into one 2020+....FCA now keeps the lid on Failures, the one's siting around and NOT covered By FCA are either in ligations or the Owner cannot afford to replace at this time.

    Settlement Warranty

OK.. IMO It will create More soot, and Mileage will be effected, Many 2017-18 Owners that use the truck for DD use are having problems early on, How do I knows this Because 17-18 Owners have come here after 36K miles after dealer cannot promise the repair will be covered under the 100K miles or...

Turbo water coolant feed tube failure

I see no connection for Geico to pay for repairs....its a failed coolant house, Does Geico pay for new tires also.

    Ecodiesel Fires

Most fires in diesels start around the turbo and that seems to be the case with the ED, although this one was in the middle of the night. Luckily it was not garaged. The sound foam is a sponge if leaks occur.

    Settlement Warranty

Good...Presidents pays off with FCA, Whatever you do no threats of any kind like I'm calling My lawyer or I'm not buying FCA again...granted your welcome to do so, but it damages cooperation needed to get it covered.

    Settlement Warranty

Just stand your ground....Even as adamant as I've been about the 3.0 short comings , I still Support FCA both in My Purchases and Investments, I want the ED to survive....... The Owners and many employee's at Coon Rapids are not only My Business partners I call them friends...

    Settlement Warranty

I consider the EGR not only a major component ,its also defective in every 3.0 in America, and when the AEM is loaded the EGR will become more Defective. I know My relationship with FCA cannot be consider average ,none the less FCA replace The Plenum and EGR at no cost to Me , on the platform it...
