That is what I bought, the 2019 1500 Bighorn with the V6. I did not bail on my 2015 eco because of the diesel, which I liked. I bailed because of the deal I was offered. 46.5k list, purchased for 32.5k. My 2015 Eco was the HFE version with vinyl seats and no options. I wanted to upgrade for...
Clean the connector attaching to the glow plug first and see if it corrects the problem
If not, I would replace the glow plug control module before trying to pull a glow plug. Its about 85 dollars at Moparpartsgiant.com to replace the module. I would always replace it before replacing a glow...
Others with this code have noted that in their case the Particulate Matter Sensor was knocked off the frame rail. Have you been out in the mud? Crawl underneath your truck and look before and after your DPF, it will look somewhat like an oxygen sensor. It is kind of hard to see. If it all...
The problem is likely a sooted over MAP sensor and EGR diffuser tube. Since this is all dealer service, ask them to clean them and the trouble should go away. You need to do it yourself about once a year thereafter or put a GDE / Sofaking tune on your engine.
Darn! I just got that order 2.5 months ago! I was busy learning how to rebuild these engines and had watched some youtube videos and they pull the carpet out from under me!
Happy for you getting a new and not rebuilt engine. I had no idea FCA was rebuilding them but I don't know what else...
Interesting. They have blown a lot of eco engines and it makes me wonder if they don't have any spares.
I wonder if you are getting a 2020 engine with a new harness.
nah. Payload is what you can likely put in the bed. It can be reduced a lot, for example, if you got 5 fat boys up front. If them fat boys are real fat, maybe you can't put anything in the bed.
GVWR is the total weight limit the manufacturer says the truck can handle, loaded. This includes...
If those filters did anything near those numbers - even .1 mpg more, the automakers would use them. They don't.
They also don't use them because they allow fine particulate to slip by the filter when they are not perfectly maintained.
have him pull the EGR diffuser tube and look at that and in the intake. It will be a sticky, gooey mess in there. Try not to drive much anymore - diesel - steam hybrids don't do well.
being in California get the SofaKing tune. GDE will check your registration and they don't want a lawsuit with your Government. Once you get the tune you can turn off the EGR just like you would with a GDE tune.
yeah, my status changed to that over 2 1/2 weeks ago. I called, thinking it was lost in the mail. The guy told me that payment had not been approved yet and ignore that status. Looks like they are just blowing diesel smoke up our skirt with that website status.
Its best to remove it so you can periodically inspect your injectors for leaks. They also hold in heat along with the sound. If you take the foam and the cover off you will notice that your engine runs cooler.
