OK so other than you telling everyone that you used the incorrect oil, who knows? Does the engine still run properly? Are you now using the correct oil? If so then what does it matter, unless the Dealer has had FCA pull your warranty. If not then it's still G2G. As far as the truck warranty...
Sorry to hear that you got a French Diesel installed :ROFLMAO: Well at least you got it back wit a new one. Did they give you a New 100k mile warranty with it?
Thanks for the info. Now I'll have to check with the dealer and see how much they are going to charge me. I guess while I'm at it I might as well get an extra Key fob programed also.
Amp Research Power Steps; Amp Research Bed Step; Rhino Liner Bed Spray; AVS Front Bug Shield; AVS In-Channel Side Window deflectors; Weather Tech Digital Fit Floor Liners; Xtang Solid Fold 2.0 Tonneau Cover; Mopar Mud Flaps and a Billet Blue Aluminum Diesel filler Cap. I forgot the Cold Weather...
Cool please keep us all informed.
Now if we can only get FCA to go back to old style towing mirror spot that Ford has incorporated into all of their cars.
Try a top down oil change, that way you don't have to climb under the truck anyway. When in doubt, take it to the Sealer Dealer and have them change it. Make sure you stay and watch and see just how long it take them and how much oil comes out.
I was told that on these engines the oil change takes a while to perform. Something about after pulling the drain plug that you have to let it sit and drain for 45 minutes then let it sit for a while after the initial fill of oil. They said it takes about 3 hours to do one??? Seems a little...
Using the Tow/Haul when driving around town, stop and go slow traffic will cause the engine's exhaust to warm up faster and stay hotter longer. This will help with REGENs and engine and Transmission warmup. Also the firmer the shift the less amount of slippage in the Tranny.
Stan that's not true. You can run Tow/Haul anytime you want to. Just push the button, they would not call it Tow/Haul if you could not use it when Hauling heavy loads. It would be called Tow Mode.
Yes it's a nice toy to play with and I have in both the ED and the Cherokee. It very cool to have a warm seat in the winter or a cool interior in the summer. Yes it wastes fuel but I don't care because I make my own for the ED.
It now allows Nissan to offer a true contender for a 1/2 ton pickup truck in the US market. Every body is getting into the game now that Ram has opened it up and dropped their Dakota. The other thing is the fuel mileage gain you get with a diesel over any of the gas engines that can pull the...
This is why the After Market dealers make the tuners. They have figured out how to unleash the ponies in these beast. So wait a bit and you can a tuner that will let them ponies go.
Personally I would change the filter twice a year at a minimum. At the beginning of fall (when they change over to winter diesel) and at the beginning of spring ( when they change back to regular diesel). I look at it this way, a little extra maintenance will help the engine run better. This...
