my son has a 2006 F350 with the 6.0. He did the EGR delete and put in an oversize radiator and it is all good. They are great engines when you get the EGR cooler and EGR off of them.
Wow! $3,423 is a lot. Here is the top two pages of the settlement along with the list of pollution control devices that will be replaced free under the settlement. The judge is expected to sign the order on 5 May. You may want to tell the dealership to wait until the judge signs the order so...
They don't know on the throttle. The computer isn't telling them and that is a real limitation on the software. The engineers should have captured the problem and changed the software by now but apparently they have not. So, the techs are not being told by their software tools to check the...
You can ask them to clean the EGR diffuser tube and MAP sensor for you but I think they will charge you 3-4 hundred dollars. You can do it at home in about 2 -3 hours for free! Post some pictures for us when you do it!
$584....geez. Yeah, get the tune
no, not at all. For instance on my truck I am running the GDE tune but i have not deleted anything. I have a warranty up to 100k miles so everything under the hood is bone stock. After 100k I am likely going to remove the EGR valve and cooler.
They will force a regen to clear the DPF and then give you whatever reason they can make up for the throttle message. The cause was likely a sooted up EGR diffuser tube and MAF sensor. In the future try to keep them clean and also monitor your coolant level to ensure that the EGR cooler is not...
limp mode caused by EGR valve? Greendieselengineering.com has your solution. here is a pretty cool vid of how a guy solved his troubles in a couple different ways, finally settling on the GDE solution. And yes, you will pass emissions.
call up wagler and get a set of their rods (1800 dollars). Get a set of new factory main bearings and increase the clearance. So you know, Wagler only has two sets of those rod bearings left. Cory Fritz blew up his Eco when he compounded it but he is rebuilding it.
Here is his link
remember to look at look at greendieselengineering.com so you don't have to worry about it again. It makes your truck a much better truck. Not a shill, just a fan.
Remove your EGR diffuser tube and clean it. Then remove the MAP sensor and clean it with MAF / MAP sensor cleaner. I think you are all sooted up. There are videos on youtube on how to do it.
Recommendation: look at greendieselengineering.com and consider getting a tune for your engine...
look up Green Diesel Engineering or PPEI engine tunes. Without putting the EGR valve in a deep sleep this truck can be a PITA. My EGR is in a deep sleep and it has been a fantastic truck. Make sure you are buying it for highway driving and not city driving in bumper to bumper traffic. New...
This is an excerpt from a write up about the new 2019 Ram. Does anyone know if these new shock absorbers from the 2019 are backwards compatible to my 2015? They sound like they would give a better ride than my stock shocks.
Finally, Ram will use a brand-new shock absorber on all trim levels...
Out of warranty? Off road tune it and delete the EGR, EGR cooler, and the DPF.
Do that after you do the recall reflash and get the money for it. That's my plan anyway.
