...at my local dodge dealer awaiting a diagnostic test to be done and scanned. Will update when i hear back from the deal.
Also side note, currently looking at GDE tune, EGR delete, and DEF delete. I have read several places on here this is most likely the best fix for the dreaded P0299 code.
...following morning (today), I drove a 1 hour round trip (no trailer) just normal driving. Around lunch time truck is at an idle and it throws a P0299 code along with "service electric throttle control". So I started scanning to see if I could come up with anything. Used the Torque Pro app to...
...back up. Didn’t think anything about it. Then on second or third day same thing but threw SETC error. I have a “Fixed” scanner and it pulls P0299 code. I have sent it to shop for assessment but not sure what to expect. I have heard of this Service Bulletin. Does this updating fix...
I'm new to the diesel world I hear all this delete talk is that the same as a tuner. I just bought the truck less than 1500 miles ago I've got p0299 code and service electronic throttle system I have researched the fix on this site but am curious on is this something that the factory extended...
...2 snowmobiles adding 1300lbs. 3 hrs. to 13 hrs. dive time.
No problem as so yet. Occasionally when the temp is plus 10 F to 0 F I will get a P0299 code.
But I do notice know matter what season it is, only at highway speed my radiator fan comes on and stays on until I slow down. My...
I have had the same problem, check engine light, says service electronic throttle. as well as code P0299-00 turbocharger under boost.
The dealer couldn't get it in to check out / clear the code so I took it to a private shop I use. They cleared the code and showed me there is a service bulletin...
...truck warm up to 60 degrees overnight. Then I used my scanner to read and attempt to clear the codes. There were two codes at that time:
P0299 - Turbocharger / Supercharger Underboost (was this causing or was it because of the derated situation due to SETC?)
P2463 - Diesel Particulate...
...vortex the last week or so, and my gf forgot to plug in my truck in -28 degree night. I started it the next morning and ended up getting a P0299 code (turbocharger underboost) loss of power and very hard to get up to speed. My local dealer said i should have plugged it in for a few hours...
I would clean the intake as best as possible along with either cleaning the MAP (not MAF, that is different) sensor. Install the GDE tune which shuts off the EGR electronically and you should be good to go. I was lucky that my manifold got replaced, which if you are mechanical could be done...
So here’s my question. Purchased a 2015 eco 1 month ago with 65k miles on it. Keep have the p0299 service electronic throttle light. Will a gde tune and deletes work and block off plates work, or will I still get that code every now and then? Any other maintenance things I need to perform as...
...and it was also bad... Should have another one in today or tomorrow. I did go there last week and cleaned the MAP (took 5 mins in the parking lot) which was dirtier than I expected. Cleared the codes with my CTS2 and they came right back P03E8, P0299, & P02E0. Hope the new ECM is the fix!
My truck was doing the same thing, showing Service Electronic Throttle Control. I would reset the code (P0299) with my edge CTS2 and the truck would drive great. It was also showing codes P02E1, P02E0, and P02E8. Its at the dealer right now diagnosing the problem. They replaced the Throttle...
...throttle control now. First was the Kevlar lined hoses X3 in June that cost me $1600 now it went into limp mode again with the same code of P0299. Wtf... had it reset by a another dealer in friends with and the truck seems fine. Runs like a Rocket again once reset... It has just under 65000...
I'm thinking about taking the 4hr trip myself. How long did they need to flash it. Was also planning on showing the little one the lake if I'm up that way.
