You may be right. But unless you've deleted and tuned out the emission system, I can assure you it's going on. Starts when DPF is around 66% full and it'll burn it down to around 9% . I've never gotten it to 80% either and that's the case more often then not. Lots of great info on how...
Welcome to the site.
FYI, your truck regenerates every 70-200miles +/- on the stock tune. It's just behind the scenes and requires no driver input.

Exactly. I'll play nice and keep it all intact until it's going to be a huge expense. At that time it probably won't be my everyday driver anyhow so I'll feel less guilty deleting the emission equipment.

It's not the best practice to shut it down during a regeneration but shouldn't hurt it. My feelings about the whole thing is I just try and limit it's cycles by watching my CS2 and let the truck complete it's process. I figure the components have a certain lifespan, and if I can eliminate...
Sounds good.
I think a day install is very positive thinking. The everyday guy doesn't have the means to lift the cab off the frame....

I guess nobody does..... I'm not a good one to answer this question as I would never have bought a RAM if it weren't for this 3.0L VM diesel.

Yes. And if it does rust up it'll get that done. Rack sees minimal use and is currently stored. Worked really well tho for transport and as a rigging station.

I stopped by dealership on way in from work. Just asked if anyone knew about the switch. They did not. Guys behind the counter just pull & order parts. Didn't expect them to know honestly. No biggie. All I care about is when he looked up the oil for my truck it is now 5w-40 CJ-4. All the info I...
I've read just about every new post since joining and can't recall warranty being denied because of the wrong type of oil used. But I could be mistaken. Although this oil debacle is concerning, it's a bit overblown. We can now run oil that is cheaper, more readily available, and that has been...
