You are correct, this is the new look for the OEM filter and replaces the older style.

Latest oil analysis. This is the first sample I have sent in with the GDE hot tune I installed last Dec.(purchased in Sept.2019) I had the AEM flash done, brought the truck home, changed oil and swapped ECM's all in about the same day.

Well I myself have gotten so much great info here. Been using these forums to thoughtfully modify my truck for years.

I know this is a little older thread but: Added one of these myself also over the weekend. Truck does corner a little flatter through roundabouts, super easy to install. We will see if it is noticeable while towing my TT next week. Installed it in the middle hole.

Bought my truck new in 2015. GDE Hot Tuned December of 19. SKT trans tune early 2020. Never had a code or check engine light. Wondering if anyone else has had the same ownership experience?

The flash for the Tone Ring is not available yet to my knowledge. There is nothing to do for this recall except wait. Just like many of us are waiting for the replacement EGR.

I too compared the filter side by side and while the new style is indeed a little shorter it is also a little larger diameter. I assume it has the same amount of surface area.

Great looking truck, (love the color.) I think most are running Shell Rotella T6 5 w 40. Look into an aftermarket tune to increase your owner satisfaction long term. That is really super low mileage!

If you can see a regen message you can do it with your vehicle parked and a steady foot on the throttle. It is really about rpm's
