I did actually get a call back from the parts department yesterday but they had only called their oil supplier which is both shell and Pennzoil who told him that Pennzoil euro is still the oil for our trucks.

New fluid can do wonders to a transmission but I wouldn't feel any reason to pull the factory fill out of our transmissions at my present mileage. And considering that you do, what fluid are you planning to replace it with?

Lol I'm 10 min from the Canadian Border I can't get a straight answer as to if they're actually changing it or not. And what happens with the old spec oil as I have 2.5 gallons of 5w30 in my garage. No luck

Ok so I just spent an hour or so on the phone with the dealer and schooled the service tech that it's changing, he claims it's likely due to emissions and neither is going to grenade your engine. So run either one they're not going to void your Warranty. Stated that they are completely blind on...

And I actually had a dealership service technician give FCA customer service the WRONG information. Could there possibly be a better way to explain to FCA that their dealers are all too frequently incorrect?

I had the craziest conversation with fca today and proved that dealers don't know what in the bleep they are doing. Check out the psa oil spec thread @cevans started

Well I just proved many points and got disconnected by FCA customer service. Which booted me from chat. Luckily I was snapping screenshots the whole time. I'll update the rest shortly
