I know and in a sense I do trust the truck. In another sense, I dread the failure horror stories and there's not enough engines out there and enough use that I know of going 100k and no failures so where does that put all us? I'd just rather be preventive if I do keep it in the all knowing...
Hd leaf springs and a 9.25 rear end were factory available options and the dakota was already classified as a half ton capable truck with a midsize platform. So with available hd options equipped owners considered it a 3/4 ton dakota. Still only a heavy half. And still a midsize platform but...
Also in mn, the ecodiesel has been good to me. I just passed a year old last week and just turned 29k today. I use Lucas oil most fills but I can't tell you the difference. I fill up at Holiday virtually every time with their seasonal blend I've had no issues though the winter was mild...
You just would've needed a little extra steel and some variety, and a whole saw. You know how you extended the uprights a second time? Then instead of using a single cross member use two, an upper and a lower. Use two inch square or rectangle, have the upper one pass all the way through and the...
I personally would've Used PVC for the tubes and then utilized a metal frame. even being well painted and whatever you do, the metal will retain water more and rust inside the tubes. And unless you're using very expensive DOM (drawn on mandrel) steel then the weld seam is going to tear apart...
I use Lucas oil 95% of my fills. I just buy a quart or gallon and keep 2 single tank fills in my door and refill them as needed. I average about 500+ miles per tank so I don't need to fill the two in my driver door very frequently. (Factory funnel stays there as well)
I never said it void the whole thing. Only the engine. And pending something happens it spins a bearing whatever else and I provide proof of my oil changes with any ol 5w30 essentially then it creates a problem
My engine is out of Warranty because I have been dumping oil in that does not meet MS-11106 spec since 7,400 miles therefore I've not no engine warranty
28k and no issues at all related to the build or powertrain of the truck. Just found out I've got no engine Warranty though so I don't know whether to dump it and take the loss on trade in or start buying the things to prevent the need for a Warranty. Egr tune oil cooler delete etc possibly dpf...
So to anyone who did or has done as I have well I hope there isn't anyone.
Champion oils, SynGold 5w30 has two different part numbers. They use the same exact bottle and front label but the spec sheet on the back is different. Part number 4431 is traditional 5w30.
Part number 4436 is European...
