I did mine inside the fuel door. Just to the left of the def fluid hole, and teed together under the bed.

Sounds like the dealer did a reflash if the ecu and your tune isn’t syncing correctly

It should be a standard connector, just depress the clip and pull. Look up pedal commander installation videos also they have a good walk through
