Yep! Just as @gobrowntruck21 said they are made to work as is. Using a monitor is more of a way to see how things are working, and not a necessity.
The Edge CTS reads off of factory sensors, so no drilling holes!
Do you tow on a daily basis, and is it heavy? Since you mentioned having a 6.0 Powerstroke, I wasn't sure if you need a 3/4 ton truck still.
The EcoDiesel is perfect for light towing (boats, campers, etc) and then giving you great fuel efficiency when you're out driving to work or a weekend...
I don't have a CTS 2, but from the website it gives you the following factory PIDS (paramaters).
EGT1 Turbo Inlet
EGT DOC Inlet
EGT3 DPF Inlet
EGT4 SCT Inle
Those are factory sensors that are suppose to be read via the CTS.
Here is a good thread @jones_19 around winter time starting. Since I'm in the southern part of the USA, we don't have extreme winter here. But, no one mentions needing an additive.
It probably wouldn't hurt though...
I wouldn't recommend it. Also, the EcoDiesel requires a certain SPEC oil (Can't remember off the top of my head). I wouldn't chance it all together. Just buy enough for a full change. 10.5 qts is the capacity.
