I forgot, I can say that I bought a new tune from GDE after the class action lawsuit money came in, and successfully installed it then, I still have the tuner.
The shop that did mine was able to e mail the tune same day and upload it to my ECM. Parts were readily available locally. I too and Leary of reprogramming an ECM, especially on my daily driver.

I have done the EGR delete with muffler delete also, it does sound more like a diesel, not obnoxious, no black smoke, you do hear the turbo spinning amongst the sounds. Also you smell a little diesel fumes/fuel occasionally. I picked up about 4 mpg, and 40hp in the process. No more DEF, runs...
