    Failed ecodiesel

I understand completely! It's nice you have another vehicle to use while this one is down.. keep us updated on what happens. I'm afraid a blown motor EcoDiesel is going to bring less than you think..

    I agree 100%.

    Failed ecodiesel

You need to visually inspect it. The worst case you have a hole in the block, and I don't think that's happen yet to my knowledge. Most of the time its an internal failure and you have to tear it down to see.

    Concerned Newbie !!!

Ahh man, sorry to hear that.. If the dealer won't help you out, I would try to find a pullout motor and pay a reputable diesel shop to swap them. I'm thinking it's got to be cheaper than a new engine and install at the dealership. Keep us updated.

New owner. 2016 Ram Lone Star with overheating issues

Not terribly heavy, the EcoDiesel should be able to handle that.

    Concerned Newbie !!!

I honestly wouldn't drive it.. if it is something that's fixing to let loose, finding an engine shop that could rebuild what you have might be cheaper than buying a entire new block.. but, I haven't priced either thankfully!

    Concerned Newbie !!!

Welcome, hopefully your "knocking" issue is nothing catastrophic. That's proven to be costly out of warranty as @Brady mentioned. When are you expecting to hear back from the dealer?

New owner. 2016 Ram Lone Star with overheating issues

Welcome! Some dealers have great diesel mechanics, others not so much. Hopefully they will find your issue. I'm assuming you're not pulling anything when it's overheating?

Any one tried using Pela Oil Extractor for oil changes?

I was going to say, would it go down far enough to get the oil out? I used one for my Seadoo years ago because it was such a pain to change! But yes, a nice set of ramps make it a lot easier as you can get more clearance to get under the truck. Also, I would recommend something like a Ez Drain...

    News Resume Production!

Welcome! And thanks for bringing us potentially great news.. hopefully that means the legal battle is moving forward and perhaps coming to a close maybe??!? It states they are still awaiting approval to sell them, but, I doubt if Ram thought it wasn't going to happen they wouldn't build them..

    New to diesel

Call it what you want John, but stating your opinion and not welcoming comments or opinions is not what a forum is about. I applaud @GearHead for keeping it clean. So, lets keep it that way. A nice ADULT debate benefits all us.

Factory Goodyear SR-A wrangler blew up, did not puncture, blew up

The factory Goodyear's doesn't have the best reputation in the world on the forums. Be thankful you're getting 4 new tires, most of the time the dealer claims it as a "wear and tear" item and doesn't really help the customer much.
