I don't see it as a issue honestly. All the modern diesels now do not have a turbo timer for a reason. Unless you're going Wide Open Throttle up a hill with your EGT's maxed out and then you turn it right off, then you might have a problem. Otherwise just drive the truck and enjoy it.

As far as trim level. It's totally up to you and what you like/can afford. Welcome to the community!

I don't have one, but I would bet from reading on our facebook page you're going to take a good 5 mpg hit. Especially with 35's.
