For the Amsoil fans, it looks like they have had oil for a little while now. I don't recall finding it when I was searching a few months back..

It's good to have another high quality option.
An OBD coder reader is required to view the codes. Autozone and other auto stores usually will read then for free and let you know what the code is.
When they reset, they are just clearing the trouble codes in the engine computer.

Any details around engine codes? Without knowing engine codes it's hard to really tell what really could be the problem. I know most problems have been emissions related. Some truck are having the "oil in coolant" problem, but obviously that's not the problem here since you're getting a warning...
If the dealer you're looking to buy it from doesn't give you the service records.. it may be a sign you might want to pass on this one and wait for the right truck to come back around again.
I was watching a review today and the new GM trucks have the 4x4 knob and lights side by side, and they look exactly the same with just a different facing on it. That will be a huge problem for people moving forward with the GMs.
GM doesn't have a half-ton diesel.. which is why they lost customers to the Ram EcoDiesel.
With the diesel option coming out in the Canyon and Colorado, I'm still not sure many would step down to a midsize truck for about the same price you can get a ecodiesel for.
Recon has a 50/50 reputation for their lights. A lot of folks say they leak, others say they love them..
If you go the recon route, I would recommend putting a bead of silicone around the gasket to be safe.
