I found a site a while back and there was a guy that claimed to mix lacquer thinner in his fuel tank, I think he said he put a gallon in, there was a site that was devoted to it, I would be SERIOUSLY worried about lubrication.

Oddly enough , but here in sunny Az I've ner been able to find a cetane # on our pumps, I thought the law required it.

Has anyone tried different fuel brands to see how their fuel mileage compares to other brands. I've been using QT and CHEVRON exclusively, they're the same price, and initially I thought the CHEVRON was going to shine, but they come in about the same, right around 21-23mpg depending on my foot.

move to an unincorporated area, I live down in Ajo & we have no testing requirements. I did a stage 1 from SFT & can run distilled water in place of DEF.

I forgot to mention the lack of I-PHONE SUPPORT, if you don't have a windows machine you can get a tablet for 50 or 60 bucks. I'm running it on an old kindle, I wasn't completely sure it would run on a Kindle, so I downloaded the trial/demo to try & then bought the full Android version for it.

ALFAOBD, 49 BUCKS for Windows or Android & tablets, I'm running it on a KINDLE, also need a wireless dongle, I think I bought an MX+, & I think it was about 80 bucks. Android version of ALFAOBD is available from AMAZON as is the dongle. If you need the Windows version of ALFAOBD I think you'll...

Probably not related to the oil change, check the things that TC mentioned.

I think he's asking if it's tuned & deleted.

TRACTOR SUPPLY & AMAZON CARRY THEM & I read somewhere that Orielly's carries HOTSHOTS products.

I've used HotShots Stiction eliminator & HotShots FR3, some say we don't need the stiction eliminator , but I tend to disagree as stiction can and will occur in turbo bearings as well. I'm using Hotshots EDT & LX4 in my fuel as well as HotShots EXTREME every 6 months. Lab tests have shown...

I just sent SFT an email, my truck is stage 1 tuned & it's still drinking DEF like a mad man with a full keg, I've put in over 10 gallons in less than a month, right now we're doing over 1100 miles a week, I put in ten gallons last weekend & it showed full, & it's at about 60% right now. The...

Well, that sux!

I'm guessing it's not the "new & improved" EGR cooler.

I found that before my AFE SPRINT BOOSTER it was VERY hard to gauge & maintain rpms with the way the throttle came on, my SFT tune helped more than the sprint booster. Getting the temp under 400 degrees is to keep from coking the turbo bearings, I read numerous posts that say it won't happen...

The parameter rpms and exhaust temperature , I think DPF INLET, I watch my edge soot parameter & the regen status, when it starts a regen on it's own I'll drive until it shuts off, I had one 80% message & that's when I decided I needed something to tell me when it's happening. The fact that it...

I'm gonna have to take a look at the clutch values, I'd like to be able to tweak the 3rd gear issue a little, but won't unless I can figure it out to the gnats azz. When I was doing transmissions I always did necessary mods to add clutch plates, installed a shift kit & often increased line...

If you noticed in my post, it said"in the old days" I've rebuilt many, many of the old school trannies.

Mine was under light to moderate load & throttle & more like it wanted & needed to downshift & just wouldn't do it, then it would drop a gear & come on like gangbusters, back in the old days it would have been a balancing act between throttle pressure & governor pressure, that was old school...

I did an SFT stage 1 on my 2017 in early July, it's been great so far, I did contact SFT about increased DEF consumption (over 5 gallons in about 3000 miles), & a little bit of hesitation stumble/ doesn't quite know what gear it quite wants(3rd gear light to moderate load & throttle), SFT said...

ALFAOBD is available from AMAZON, it's available for ANDROID or PC, I think the PC version must be obtained from the ALFAOBD website. You can search that & find out. I got the trial version to make sure it would work on the platform I wanted to use( an unused KINDLE FIRE), full version is 49...
