    Post Z46 leak

Well had the truck towed back to the dealer last week Thursday and this week Tuesday got a call to come pick it up. They said it wasn't fuel but oil leaking due to an improper installed O ring between the HPFP and engine. But just seemed that what covered the undercarriage, clear back to the...

    Post Z46 leak

So it's been about three weeks since I had the Z46 HPFP done and yesterday I started noticing my truck was leaving a lot of oily stains on the driveway. Today I discover it has a MAJOR fluid leak, which I'm assuming is fuel, coming out from under the fuel pump area so much that It's dripping off...

Installed oil catch can - CEL light came on

But how do they check the older diesels from the 90's that might not have computers that monitor every system?

Installed oil catch can - CEL light came on

Living in California, most vehicles are required to pass emissions every 2 years. And if you have any tunes or non-stock options it’s an automatic fail. I run a pre-GDE tune and an oil catch can & truck runs amazing: no turbo lag, no hesitation, better fuel economy, just an overall great truck...

Dealer service let down - again.

So last week I dropped my 2106 off at a Ram dealer it had never been to for the z46 & 66a recalls without an appt. This was on Monday & by Tuesday afternoon it was ready to pick up. So WOW - I thought I had found the magic service dept. Well after picking it up it the CIL lit & I took it back...

    Code P245B after HPFP replacement

I just had the Z46 and 66a recalls done this week and after the P0191 and P015B codes popped. Took it back to the dealer and they're checking. Of course these codes only show with the stock PCM not with the pre-GDE.

Why I will never buy an Ecodiesel or any FCA product ever again.

I realize this is a grip about the dealership service department, but it ties into the overall experience dealing with FCA. NEVER in my life have I experienced such failure of customer service than with the service department at FCA Dealerships. Could it be that management at FCA dealers are...

Lift pump replacement and DEF CEL codes

I just had my in-tank fuel lift pump replaced and when I picked up my truck the CEL came on for P20FC and P05F2 codes. So, before I take it back Monday, can dropping the fuel tank to replace the pump, damage or disconnect any connections, wires, plugs and/or hoses that would cause those codes...

Does your lift pump make a noise?

I had a similar issue with my truck just cranking but no start. The first time it didn't start, I jiggled a couple relays and it started. Everything was normal for a week and then while leaving my driveway it shut off. Once again I wiggled relays and wires and started again. Operated normal...
