Hi Guys,

Have owned it new since 2015, I'm a big fan of the truck. I recently got plagued with the P0336. The truck still cranks and starts, I started by having my local shop swap out the crankshaft sensor and tone ring. They completed the job, but the code is still there along with the service electronic throttle body. Any clue on what could be causing the code to remain?

Thanks!

If the code is still popping up, the issue isn't fixed. If it is "lingering" in the permanent codes, but not an active code, then just needs to be driven for a few days until the computer can "see" the problem has been fixed and it will remove the code from the permanent list.

you did know about the tone ring recall?, I paid $2100 for mine and I just got a reimbursement from FCA.

Yes, I don’t think the tone ring or the crank sensor was the issue. The truck still started and drove before and after the tone ring and sensor was replaced.
